.hack//

This thread will cover the Infection, Mutation, Outbreak, and Quarantine quartet as well as the .hack//G.U. Trilogy that so thoroughly amazed me during the entirety of the time I played the games. It is one of my favorite Anime series as well as game series that are available on the Playstation 2. The game play is decent for an action game that simulates an online RPG, the storyline is amazing, and the music used for it is wonderful.

For those of you who know the series, you can appreciate everything about it and I won't need to go into too much extreme detail about what makes it great.

I have mutation. It was an amazing game. The first game that I actually felt like I was playing with others, because it feels like your playing online, but you actually aren't.

I never played the games, well, besides infection, but I saw all the series and all the spin offs ( eg. the ones irl) If you look at my sig. hopefully, you'll recognize who it is.

It's the main character.

Well, it's not really kite, It's Azure Kite / Triedge.

Well, spoilers aside, you can't say who it actually is.

But it is Azure Kite, a stitched together version of the original Kite. I never figured out if it was actually Kite or some bizarre AI, but certain things from G.U. point towards it being the original Kite, especially since the name you gave Kite in IMOQ carries over to G.U.

.hack//SIGN was all awesome, so I went and picked up the original tetralogy. Honestly, they're probably the worst games I've ever liked. They're flawed is so many ways. XD The dungeons are just awful. Interesting story though. My brother has picked up the .hack//G.U. trilogy, though I've yet to play it. It looks like a healthy improvement, though nothing revolutionary.

Also, SIGN is the only good .hack// anime. Legend of the Twilight and Roots (ugh!) can go DIE. I suppose Liminality wasn't bad either.

They were too confusing, like the games were fun, but I never thoroughly understood the story.

But then again, I'm not the one to talk to about anime. This game was mostly played on the whim of a friend.

Ya, for the PS2 serious only. And 1 game was on the PS1, correct me if I am wrong. All which are AMAZING games.

There has never been a .hack// game on the original Playstation, I don't think. The series debuted on the PS2, so I don't know why it would go back.
