Yeah, Dragon Quest VIII...DQ is made by Square Enix. Good game even though I've not completed it.

I rented it and returned it that day, its too by-the-book. Nothing original. Just your average RPG.

It isn't really anything new, I admit, but it's a damn compelling RPG! Any game with Yangus is AWESOME. I think it's a nice retro-RPG. I love old-school RPGs, so this is fine for me. I loved how you could pretty much explore everything, it was a beautiful game.

Totally agree with you Brad, it's a cookie cutter game, meaning it's just too basic. But the story was funny and some of the characters were amusing. Not bad but certainly not an instant classic.
